Frequently Asked Questions about Communion Ware
Country Of Origin
When buying communionware, Artistic Churchware is made in America, where as most other brands are made in the Peoples Republic of China. If the country of origin is important to you, then bare this in mind, especially with any purchases of plasticware.
Finishes
Generally the Artistic Churchware is made from Aluminum, and then made available in your choice of "slivertone" which is anodized alumunium, brasstone (brass plated), solid brass, silver plate and solid silver and Bio-Khrome.
If you are looking for stainless steel, then Remembranceware has a good product. This is by Broadman & Holman - a respected manufacturer of Churchware. Note that to the best of our knowledge there are no Stainless Steel communion ware products that are made in America. All stainless products are sourced from China.
Mixing and Matching
The normal rule of thumb is that you can not mix and match pieces between collections. For example, a Remembranceware stackable plate can not be used with an Artistic Churchware communion tray. If you are trying to expand an existing collection that you already have, or if you are buying with an eye towards making extra purches in the future, then you must stay within the same collection. Normally you can mix and match finishes, but thats going to look weird :-)
How Long Do Perishables Keep Fresh?
We say up to 90 days. We do not recommend buying wafers or juice sets for longer than 90 days. We've had churches request to purchase a years supply of elements, and that is a really bad idea. Shipping is so affordable, dont take a chance on your congregations' health just to save a couple of dollars in shipping. Order your supplies every 90 days and discard unused supplies. Please note, for security and health reasons we do not accept returns of perishables.
