I bought this used and it was in new shape. It was delivered fast and I was very impressed with the service.
A window into Africa Jan 15, 2007
This book is structured almost like an adventure story, with episodes written by Heidi and Rolland Baker. The book so well gave me a glimpse into the horrid circumstances in Mozambique and the real joy people found from living with Jesus in the midst of those circumstances. It highlighted my own status of wealth which I let distract me from the Kingdom of Heaven. Highly recommended as a view of living with Jesus in developing nations.
Inspiring Book! Jan 14, 2007
My husband and I read this book about the Bakkers and their work in Africa. It demonstrated God's provision and their great faith.
The Key to Everything Jul 21, 2006
How refreshing to see people who have the childlike faith to believe Jesus when He says to go into all the world and preach the gospel of the Kindom, to implement the great commission, and to do the will of the Father, right here on earth as it is in heaven. The Baker's demonstrate how God's grace still supernaturally abounds today, when we finally bring our priorities into agreement with His.
A must read for those with a heart for the broken and a passion for Jesus Mar 30, 2006
I read this book right before I went to Heidi and Roland's center in Maputo last October. My heart was broken for the lost and forgotten and I was encouraged to read of the faithfulness of God. Once I was in Mozambique and saw all the transformed lives, it was easy to believe the things I read in this book happening there. The experience was life-changing. All the walls and pretenses come down and you are stripped bare. It makes a perfect enviroment for God to step in. Whether you plan to make a trip to Africa one day or not or to go on a missions trip at all for that matter, this book will expand your vision and break Jesus out of the box for you. The childlike faith and laid down life of Heidi Baker is a constant inspiration to me to humble myself and just trust in our beautiful Lord. He will do amazing things. Heidi just started helping the one in front of her and look at the impact. For all the many books I've read with plans and strategies on changing the world, her message is the only one that I know I can follow. Stop for the one.
