| Another reviewer said this book is valuable to anyone having problem with sin. One of the points this book makes evident is, that includes every human being. The book is not just about the traditional temptations of sex, alcohol, etc, but also losing your temper, being self sufficient, etc...I really believe this book can speak to anyone if read thoughtfully. | Once again, Dr. Stanley has written another excellent text, this one focusing on temptation. Among the important points covered in the book include: 1. Reasons to take sin seriously.
2. God wants to develop our character.
3. Ways people shift blame for giving in to temptation.
4. God does not want us to live an anxiety-ridden life.
5. God will provide an escape route from temptation.
6. When faced with a situation, consider your past experiences, present state of mind, and future plans/goals/dreams.
7. The devil is often subtle.

| Charles Stanley accomplishes what he set out to do in this book. This is a very good tool if you are having problems with sin in your life. If you are human, chances are that you ARE having problems with sin. He gives you the tools and resources needed in overcoming sin. All you have to do is apply these biblical principles.
