Item Description...
Product Description Does your heart race whenever a rooster pheasant erupts from a patch of cattails or when a drake mallard cups wings over a spread of decoys? Has your breath been taken away at the explosive flush of a ruffed grouse under foot? Do you fall asleep at night dreaming of a largemouth bass inhaling your plastic worm or a northern pike crushing your chartreuse spinnerbait? If so, then Den Pluimer's Praise the Lord...And Pass the Leeches should be part of your library. But Den goes way beyond the traditional "huntin' and fishin'" stories, as he reveals an inspirational lesson about our Creator in each chapter. Praise the Lord...And Pass the Leeches will take you to a cattail-rimmed marsh or a dogwood-choked grouse covert. It will place you on a Lake Winnie walleye hole or a cabbage weed line full of cruising largemouth bass. It is in such places where the author lives his dream, and it is in those places where he visits his Creator.

 | The best hunting and fishing devotional book I've read! Dec 20, 2006 |
Whether you enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing, or not, you will not be able to put this book down once you start it. Den has an amazing ability to capture the reader's imagination and vividly describe the experiences he's faced in the outdoors. The stories in themselves are enough to buy this book. But Den goes much deeper, showing how all of these observations and experiences point to an amazing Creator who often teaches us lessons through life's everyday experiences, if we just take the time to look. Of course, it helps to have a biology teacher point some of these lessons out, as Pluimer clearly does!
Perhaps best of all, is the obvious evidence of Den's love for his Creator - above and beyond His creation. | | | Write your own review about Praise the Lord...and Pass the Leeches
