This is a very easy to read bible....not only good for the very young but for people with low reading levels. I'm glad I made this purchase.
A good choice Feb 10, 2007
My 2 1/2 year old loves this, she calls it her Bible and she reads it by herself all the time! The illustrations are great. The stories are complex enough to really teach, better than another book like this we got where the stories are only 2 pages each. Sometimes the language is too old for her to understand (otherwise I would have given it 5 stars), and once in a while I'll just kind of paraphrase a whole page, but that's ok, we usually elaborate on the stories anyway to teach her more about God's nature. Overall though the stories contained in this book do a pretty good job of showing God's nature, and I think it's a perfect overview to the Bible for 2 years old and up.

I am studying to be a primary teacher and saw this book used in a prep classroom. I think it's one of the best comprehensive versions of the Bible for children complete with simple language and colourful illustrations. It's a fantastic resource and the story's are told effectively. A great buy!

One of our granddaughters kept asking us about certain things about the Bible. 'Who was this', 'what did they do', 'why did they do that' and so we would answer as best we could. These stories will help her find her own anweres as to why or what for. Great bible book for young readers, especially for those 8-10 years with trouble reading. Also getting them interested to search more about the Book, Words of life.

The Beginners Bible picks out the popular events of the Old and New Testament and is written in simple easy-to-understand way for kids 2 years old to about 7 years old. The illustrations are wonderfully done and my daughter and I read it at least twice over when she was about 3.
