Since this was the first submission I made to the Chicken Soup series, I was delighted to learn that my little story, Easter Bloomers, would appear in this collection, and so was my "baby" brother. We're in the section called Golden Times, because my tale took place well over half a century ago.
When my copy arrived last week, I couldn't wait to read what others had to say about their brothers and sisters. I've been reading five or six stories each evening, and am nearly finished. I know there's some that think Chicken Soup stories are corny or cheesey...but I've reached a stage where pseudo-sophisticated, jaded, ironic, or sardonic commentary doesn't always do it for me, especially not at bedtime. This Chicken Soup collection is comfort food, just as advertised.
