Product Description
Let's face it, hard as we try, none of us can avoid contact with difficult people. Some people just seem to savor unnecessary and unhealthy conflict; they don't seem to be happy unless they are driving those around them crazy. Best-selling author and noted relationship expert, Dr. John Townsend, helps us better understand what makes "button pushers" act the way they do-and why they want to elicit a negative emotional and even behavioral response from us. He challenges readers to take personal responsibility and stop responding to difficult people in ways that just don't work! He then offers a whole new repertoire of responses, including specific guidance on body language and verbal scripts, which will allow us to confront and negotiate with "crazy-makers" on a brand new level.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | "Handling Difficult People" Dec 21, 2008 |
| A Freind of mine purched this book and recommended it. With Christmas coming up and Family coming from out of state, I have not had a chance to read it. I deal with difficult people everyday in 3 different groups that I belong to and thought this book may give some insight to dealing with them. | | | | Not practical Feb 13, 2008 |
| Although it is an easy-to-read book, I felt that it was not practical. The information given is too general and specific examples are not provided to help you on your daily life. It's more like a devotional type of book rather than a self-help book. | | | | Little book, big content! Dec 28, 2006 |
| This is a great little book that doesn't waste a lot of pages on useless stuff, but gets right to the heart of the matter, the meat of the material. It even addresses how to deal with someone whose thinking just isn't right, which you rarely see in a Christian book. This book gives you practical information for being in charge of your own life and yet, still being a Christian (decent) person. I highly recommend it. The vision aspects alone, what do you want to see in your life, are worth the book because we often get settled and complacent and think we have to deal with what life has doled out, instead of being proactive in our vision for life. | | | Write your own review about Handling Difficult People: What to Do When People Try to Push Your Buttons
