Revelations for the masses Mar 15, 2007
Excellent book. Breaks down Revelations verse by verse and explains it clearly with references to the rest of the Bible. The author takes a pre-tribulation, pre-millennium, prophetic view of Revelation which I agree with completely. He addresses other views as they become relevant in the study and explains why he feels they are incorrect. This is done within the context of the study and not as a specific attempt to discredit.
He quotes from other Revelation studies to give different views on how some of the more difficult verses are being interpreted.
Revelations is a book all Christians should make a point to study. It shows us the hope we have to come and the triumphant return of Christ. It is not a mystery but a source of comfort and gladness. If you haven't done a study of Revelation yet, this is the book to use. |

The Revelation of JEsus Christ Mar 9, 2006
I really love this book because it is full of information that I have find necessary for teaching. I feel that Dr. Walvoord has went through great pain in putting this information together. My student find it very valuable not only for the class but for future reference. With so much information you would wonder that this book should not cost more. This is a classic.

The First source you should read Mar 25, 2004
If you want to cut through all the trash that has been published in the area of End-Times material, this is the book to look to. I was written by a man that has spent his entire career, carefully looking at the issues of Eschatology and what has been written about it. It is written at a serious level and work will be needed to follow his writings. But if you what the Truth and you can deal with it. This is the book to read

Academic, but Excellent and Understandable Dec 17, 2002
This is an excellent book, and a must addition to anyone's library seriously interested in Eschatology. It is somewhat academic, but understandable to most astute lay persons. For a book also thorough but geared more to the person in the pew and practical teaching, see "The History of the Future: A Commentary on Revelation and Matthew 24" by Marvin and Timothy Blackburn (ISBN 1592440681). You must have both these books.

A must have Oct 4, 2002
He tackles the book of Revelation with the same intensity as he did on the book of Daniel. This book is also seminary level. If you are serious about wanting to learn more about The Revelation of St. John the Divine, then this is a must have, must read.
