Talent Extraordinaire Mar 27, 2007
Akiane's art first came to my attention through an e-mail. After viewing her work and reading her poetry, it was imperative that I buy her book. Her life story and the stories behind her paintings are as fascinating as her body of work. Sadly I have not found a source to buy her prints. Luckily, her book holds enough artwork to satiate my thirst for now. I ordered two, one for me and one for my adult daughter because I want to spread the joy. I pray we have this remarkable artist with us for years to come. I wish this site.com had Akiane's more recent book, and I wait not-so-patiently for it to be listed.

Amazing!!! Mar 20, 2007
The story of this young artist is told by her mother. I love the fact that the Mother even voices the doubts she had at first about what her daughter was experiencing. As you see the pictures you realize why even her former atheist mother had to acknowledge that Akiane has a God given talent! The pictures this girl has painted are truly amazing. Although I am much more of a classical poetry buff, the poetry this girl has produced is unbelievable for a child so young. Truly an inspiring story and collection of pictures.

It is the most inspiring book I've read in a long time. What an "angel" from heaven. Because I truly believe she has been "Touched by an Angel".
Her experiences in Heaven and her direct contact to G-d makes you wonder what he has in store for her.
No one at her tender age can have such insight and such talent if it was not G-d given. I honestly feel he puts the words in her mouth to write down and he guides her hand to create her marvelous paintings.
I'm reading he books slowly as I want to savor every minute and don't want it to the end.
I recommend this book to everyone especially those that are believers and if a non-believer, then the book is a must.

This is a great thing to see. We are seeing someone who is born with this talent and we get to see her progress with this. I think people get caught up in the "Christian" aspect of it and seem to be negative about her.
What is she? She's an 11 year old who paints what she sees in her mind. Does it matter if it not stylized as people think it should be? Again, when you hear this artist talk, she paints her dreams and what she sees in her mind. I think that's true of a lot of artists.
And for the people who are negative about her, it has drawn their attention too.
Is this artist looking to be taken seriously in the "art world?" It does not seem that way. This artist is painting what she wants to paint and seems to love it.
Children, even those called "prodigies", have something to teach us and we put them off because they're "just kids."
