My wife bought me this book after she read The power of a praying wife. The book help me to see my responsibility as a spiritual covering in my family. My wife and children need me to protect them. I can not be with them at all times but through prayer I can cover them in the spirit.

A Must for Men! This book has Enriched Mt Life! Aug 25, 2006
Wow, I don't know where to begin. I'm in the middle of a marriage crisis as I'm writing this. My wife has left our home and I was needing some answers. This book has taught me how to connect with God and learn about my marriage and my wife as well as the giving me insight into how my wife thinks and functions. The 20 chapters are incredibly informational and easy to read and understand. Guys...you've got to read this book in order to learn how to help your wife and increase your relationship. In the end, if my marriage fails, I will walk away with a wealth of knowledge about how to assure that I'll never get into this predicament in life again.
The Power of Cliches Jun 10, 2006
Yuck! After the first chapter of non-stop cliches and stereotypes I stopped to check Stormie's credentials. There are none, unless selling lots of books makes your books great. If you believe that logic, keep eating the healthy food at your favorite fast food joint. With the high rate of divorce in this country, advice from an amateur is not welcome.
Stormie's use of the Bible as a reference is also disturbing. I have found that no matter how crazy a person's idea, they can always find a verse out of context to support it. In this case, Stormie had to search several different Bibles.
The use of the Old Testament is questionable. There is some very bad advice there. For example, what should you do if your daughter comes home pregnant? The Old Testament might suprise you.
I don't doubt the power of prayer. I believe there are two fundamental parts that Stormie missed. One - you have to tell the person you are praying for. Studies in hospitals show repeatedly that patients oblivious to the prayers don't get better. Two - you have to work like hell for the things you want while you wait for God to give them to you.
Stormie claims that God talks to her. Boy is that a red flag! I guess we can all throw away our bibles and sing kum-bye-yah in a circle around her house, for she is the voice God.
I would end with a summary, but just like Stormie's book, you don't get one.
A book worth buying! May 25, 2006
I am a newlywed, and have experienced most of the trials that come with the territory. This book, which I happened to stumble upon, while browsing for some other book, has altered my prayer life. Now, I know that the author is probably not skilled in writing to men, as parts of the book sound almost patronizing, but she seems sincere enough, and praying the prayers at the end of each chapter have given me tremendous insight into how my wife thinks, and the best way to pray for her. Mrs. O'Martian really knows how to communicate what a woman is feeling onto the printed page. I wish every man would buy this book, if for no other reason than to begin a dialogue with God about the most important earthly relationship that exists, that of husband and wife. This book is worth it!
Highly Recommended for any Husband- A Must Read Apr 28, 2006
As a Christian husband married for 2 years (at the time of this writing- April, 2006), I regularly use this book to pray for my wife, myself and for our marriage. In our marriage, we have had many struggles and this book has helped us out immensely.
This book address many common issues in marriage from trust, motherhood, marriage relationship, sexuality, emotions, etc. from a Biblical, Christian perspective. It is divided into chapters that addresses each one of these issues, along with a prayer and Bible verses pertaining to this issue. By using these prayers in this book, one can improve one's prayer life and personal relationship with God.
I very strongly recommend this book especially to any born-again, evangelical Christian married man who truly would like to have a strong, Godly marriage. It is a must read and a must own for a Christian married man. I have personally experienced the power of prayer by using this book and how God truly answers prayers. For non Christians, this book is also very insightful about common issues in marriage and can introduce them to the amazing power of prayer to The Living God.
