Units 1 & 2: Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)
Using Bible stories from both the Old and the New Testaments, it helps children explore qualities of faith that are cultivated in our lives through the work of the Holy Spirit. Fruit in this case, instead of meaning an apple or a pear or a strawberry, means the ?result of something.? When the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives, then we are capable of love, joy, peace, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Unit 3: Teach Us How to Pray
This unit helps the children learn about prayer and how to pray. It begins with the prayer of Jonah from inside the belly of the fish. They come to know that God hears our prayers, no matter where we are. Through Solomon?s prayer for wisdom, the children learn that God answers our prayers, not always in the ways we expect. In the third lesson the children focus on what Jesus taught us about prayer, including the most famous prayer, The Lord?s Prayer. The final lesson helps the children understand that they can pray for themselves and for others.
Kit includes the Reproducible Activites Book, Teacher Book, Class Pak, and CD.
