For those who say that this is a reprehensible book that was written only to tear down another's beloved beliefs, you should ask yourself a simple question. Which is preferred: lies that don't hurt now, but will be agonizing later, or, truths that may hurt now, but will be wonderful later? Does this book tear down beliefs, or does it tear down the lies that support false beliefs? If someone wants to know the truth, shouldn't you go to the source of the matter?
The Bible says "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Written in the first century A.D., anyone who knows the mythology of Mormonism will be able to see this applies directly to Mormonism. That's the truth of what the Bible says, which is the word of God to anyone that is a Christian, regardless of sect or type. This truth may be painful, but when you're dealing with eternity, the truth is something very important. | Apparently most people think so. Whats makes a religion the right one? The right definition of who Jesus Christ is. Is that hard to understand? Jesus is God, Savior and lord. Jesus is not an angel, a good man, a healer or a great teacher. He is far more than that. The real problem is that people don't like to admit they are sinners. In 15 years of discussions with missionaries and members prior to my decision to change my life to fit God's plan rather than change his plan to fit my lifestyle I never once had a single discussion bashing any religion. NONE of the people I spoke to ever tried to convince me to consider my own views wrong or evil. ALL of them told me of their conviction, experiences, and belief of the gospel. The primary suggestion I received from them was to read the scriptures and to pray for guidance with complete sincerity.
Nobody can buy their way in with money, works, or any other means. However, what we do is certainly an indicator of the intent of our hearts, and the more consistently we work to follow the example of the savior in loving and caring for our fellow man and doing what we can to help others, the closer to God we will grow. If we strive to be Christlike, and 'feed his sheep' then AFTER ALL THAT WE CAN DO, will his grace and mercy be extended to us. Our own effort is critical to this equasion. Search, Ponder, and Pray.

Any book that proposes to tear down something inorder to promote itself must be suspect. I cannot recommend this book on the grounds that its only porpose is to confuse and misstate the beliefs of people the author obviously has a sour disposition towards. | The book is in its foundation antagonistic, rather than an attempt to understand Mormon doctrine. I was looking for a book to educate me, not equip me with the best vitrialic one-liners to retain in case I get in an argument with a Mormon. I'm still looking for a book that is not biased one way or another.
