This book is wonderful, it has a great message and my 21 month old grandson loves it.
Great Book!!! Jan 9, 2007
You'll love this board book! Beautifully illustrated and printed, this book is an excellent story for children (as well as adults!) about having manners and being polite. I am very happy with this purchase.
Another great one from Veggie Tales Sep 9, 2006
My son (2, almost 3) loves this book. It's a great way to introduce "please" and "thank you" and reads wonderfully. I highly recommend it.
Racist? Sep 3, 2006
Honestly, what kind of message is this for young minds? There's a homogenous group of people that live on the 'other side of the tracks', who a) all look different, b)are uniformly all rude, and c)steal from each other, and in the end they can't provide for themselves. They're generally 'bad' people, with no exceptions, whereas all the pea folk are all good. This is ridiculous, and in my opinion potentially feeds into rascist 'us and them' mentalities. This is not what our society needs, despite whatever superficial benefits might come from teaching kids to say please and thank you. Are these good Christian lessons?
The kids love it! Jul 5, 2006
Both my 4 year old and 2 year old love this book. The story is a little hard to follow, but they don't mind. It has a nice message about sharing and is the perfect length for a bedtime book.
