Item Description...
Description This DVD can be played in ALL regions. Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Hebrew and Arabic language tracks with or without English subtitles. The early first century followers of Jesus were a small, struggling group within Judaism who seemingly posed no threat to anyone, certainly not the mighty Roman empire. But there was one determined to see this fledging faith exterminated. His name was Saul and he became the greatest persecutor of the early church. But within a matter of a few years, the Christians fiercest opponent became it most effective advocate. Struck down by a powerful conversion experience on the road to Damascus, Saul--his name changed to Paul--went on to become the greatest missionary in the history of Christianity. He went on to write more of the New Testament books than any other. In this impressive drama starring Garry Cooper we follow Saul the angry zealot to Paul the servant of Christ who will pay any price to bring his message to the world.

 | ZZZ.... Sep 15, 2008 |
| This movie is so bad. They hit all the high points of the book of Acts but it does bring the book of Acts to life at all. The acting is mediocre, the script is terrible and they added things that they shouldn't have. I was bored and wandered off halfway through the movie. I am a full on born again Christian and love the bible. I really tried to like this movie but I am sorry, it's just bad. | | | | quite enjoyable and accurate too! Sep 4, 2006 |
| buy this if you want something that is mostly Biblically accurate, as well as enjoyable. The only problem we had (family) with this movie was that it wasn't long enough. Other than that, we say "buy it" if you want a better "Paul" movie than some other "hollywood-ized" version that are for sale (which we thought were horrible). This is worth your money! | | | | "outstanding" Jan 16, 2001 |
| This film gives a realistic and informative account of Pauls life. The use of authentic locations and the supporting roles of the cast lend credability to the story. All in all a well produced and acted movie. Excellent!! | | | | Accurate and Moving movie based on the life of Paul Dec 11, 2000 |
| With the popularity of the two recent movies titled JESUS, it is surprising that this movie about Paul isn't more popular. Obviously, this movie could be used as a "What's Next" to those unfamiliar to the origins of Christianity after they have watched JESUS for the first time. It was Paul who took the banner of Christianity and stretched it into the very heart of the Roman Empire. This is an outstanding film! | | | Write your own review about Paul The Emissary
