A Disciple's Heart is a clever new look at how you can deepen your relationship with God by going beyond the elementary teachings of Christianity. I grew up Catholic and although I experienced the Holy Spirit during Mass, the peaceful feeling would vanish very soon after the service was over. It left me feeling as though something was missing. This book helped me to reach out for more in my relationship with God and other believers. I joined the Fellowship with the Authors of A Disciple's Heart almost 3 years ago and I have personally experienced more peace and much less stress and pain. I've learned to heal the emotional scars in my life with the support of a teacher and a group of fellow believers in a way that is not commonly experienced in a church setting.
Being Discipled by a teacher of Christ has allowed me to grow deeper spiritually and has helped me in making changes neccessary to develope my "New Self" in Christ. My teenage son has recently joined the youth Fellowship and I can already see it making a difference in the choices he is faced with at 15. I wish I would have been able to learn this before my kids grew up so fast! Our relationships have become more meaningful and loving.
